Karen: My favorite Fiesta event is without a doubt the Fiesta Masquerade Party. Attendees come dressed in their favorite Fiesta attire with elaborative masquerades cloaking their faces. The $35 ticket comes with endless food, drinks, door prizes, and musical entertainment for all! Whether your heart beats to the rhythm of Jazz, R&B, Pop, Salsa, or Ol’School music, don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes because you will be sure to dance the night away! As if all the food, music, sights, and entertainment were not enough, there is a $100 cash prize for the best costume. The proceeds from this event go to the Psi Alpha Scholarship Fund, an organization that is committed to providing with service to the San Antonio Metropolitan area. Trust me, you don’t want to miss the chance to party in disguise and give back to our beautiful city!
Sharon: My all time favorite Fiesta event is Taste of the Northside. The all inclusive ticket includes a whole lot of bang for your buck ( Or better yet, boots) ! Enjoy food-samples and taste away with five drink tickets. Don’t want to drive in 1604 traffic and frantically search for that one, hardly available parking spot? Well, you don’t have to because your ticket also includes a parking ticket and a shuttle bus to the event from designated pick-up locations. Fiesta’s Taste of the Northside is a night of mouthwatering eats, delectable drinks, AND higher pizzazz entertainment. You can taste signature food from the top 50 San Antonio restaurants cooking up savory samplings of their first-rate dishes. Worried you might get a little thirsty after devouring endless succulent featured dishes? Wash the yummy down with a variety of beers and wines. See you there!
Dean: My favorite Fiesta event is Throwback Fiesta. Throwback Fiesta takes us back to the 60’s – 90’s! Event-goers manufacture throwback get-ups from their favorite decades. Beer, retro games, and tribute bands all in one place will have you looking for your favorite acid wash, bell bottoms, or waist high jeans. Feeling a little adventurous? Enter the costume contest geared in your favorite throwback attire for the chance to win cool prizes! Don’t forget to bring your dancing boots and best dance moves for another chance to win awesome prizes. Have an extra T-shirt in your closet? Bring it with you! Their will be an 80’s style T-shirt cutting workshop where you can learn (or relearn) how to add the perfect throwback chips and trims!
